Hi. I just wanted to take a minute and talk to you about what our office dog, Harley, has taught me this week. She is a very persistent dog, consistently persistent, whereas if she wants your attention or she wants her bowl of water, she will do everything she can until she could get what she wants from you and not a negative way. She's very loving, she hops up on you, she drops the ball, she makes noises, but she will keep on going until we notice her or give her what she wants. Looking for a temp job could be like that sometimes. In that, you really have to be persistent and you have to be consistent when you reach out and how often you reach out, letting the recruiter know that you're interested. You know, not every day, because, it can become time consuming for people; for you, for the recruiter. But you should definitely pick a day during the week that you want to reach out to your recruiter and say, “Hey Stormy, it's Joe, I know we talked last week. I just wanted to see if anything has come through or if you have any leads or ideas?” If you do that once a week, if you just call me Tuesdays at 10 o'clock or Wednesdays at 3 o'clock, regardless, your name will be the first thing that I think I want a job that that's your skill set comes up. I will think about you because you've been persistent and consistent in reaching out to me. And just like Harley, eventually you're going to get what you need and what you want. You know, it's a bowl of water or a great job, but either way, it's all about being consistent.
